Protein Pop-Tarts

INGREDIENTS

For pastry:

For glaze:

INSTRUCTIONS

    • For the dough, add your cold butter cubes into a bowl with the dry ingredients and mix with a fork until the mixture resembles coarse meal
    • Add coconut oil
    • Gradually add water and mix
    • Once you make your dough, wrap the dough in plastic wrap and set in fridge for at least 2 hours
    • Preheat oven to 350F
    • Once the dough is chilled, roll out the ball on a floured surface and flatten it
    • Cut the dough into rectangles with a pizza cutter
    • Brush with almond milk to use as your "egg wash"
    • Mix the filling and spread evenly over half of the dough rectangles
    • Place the remaining dough on top and press edges together with a fork
    • Bake 30-35 minutes
    • Once cool, add glaze and sprinkles on top
    • Enjoy!
